Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site

Accessibility - The Galloway Homestead is accessible at the back door, the Rock Ledge House is accessible by back porch door and the Orchard House first floor is accessible by elevator at back porch.


The Western Museum of Mining & Industry
Their collection is based on the technology and technological history of metal mining and metallurgy, as well as the social history of the American Mining West.

Accessibility - All the exhibits are wheelchair accessible. There are no stairs within the building - it is all flat concrete or commercial grade carpeting. We have a dirt parking lot, however if you pull up to the handicapped parking area we have a concrete ramp at the entrance.

Estes Park

The Estes Park Area Historical Museum
The Museum presents about four temporary exhibits per year in addition to its permanent exhibit, Tracks in Time, which details the Estes Park area's history.

Accessibility - The main Museum building and temporary exhibit buildings are both fully accessible to visitors in wheelchairs. The Cobb-Macdonald cabin has doors which are very narrow. Most wheelchairs will not fit into this two-room historic building. Museum programs held on the Museum grounds, in the Estes Park Public Library, and in room 203 of the Municipal Building are accessible to visitors in wheelchairs.

Accessibility - We want you to have the best visit possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate special needs, but our old buildings do pose a few challenges.  Astor House Museum has two floors with stairs. The first floor is fully accessible for wheelchairs. A photo album showing the second-floor rooms is usually available for those unable to access the second floor.  Clear Creek History Park is a three-acre outdoor site with multiple buildings connected by a gravel path. All the buildings are wheelchair and stroller accessible.  Seating is available at both sites.


Colorado Railroad Museum
The Colorado Railroad Museum exhibits are located in the Depot Museum building and on our 15-acre rail yard featuring over 100 pieces of rolling stock.

Idaho Springs

Clear Creek Historic Mining and Milling Museum
A tour begins with an experienced guide that will inform you of the history of the tunnel, the mine and the mill. The tour ends with free gold panning instructions.

La Junta

Koshare Indian Museum

Accessibility - A large parking area for the handicapped is available near the Koshare Indian Museum.  Handicapped accessible restrooms are available on the main level near the Koshare Kiva.  Two drinking fountains are handicapped accessible.  One elevator is available to access the basement and upper level.  The Kiva has a seating area for those in wheelchairs.


Pueblo

Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum
Preserves, restores, and displays military aircraft and artifacts that are historically representative of America's finest hours.
